It takes my mind off

It’s a luxury, it’s an addiction, it has power to attract people, and it makes you feel good , releasing the stress. For me it’s everything and a thing which takes my mind off.

It comes in bottles of different shapes and sizes making it more attractive and tempting. Floral, fresh, mist or fruity. Pick the one which you like but most importantly which your partner like the most (after all perfumes are meant to be for….)

I happened to watch a movie called ‘Perfume – the story of a murderer’. Though it was quite depressing dark movie but it brought out some interesting facts about Perfume and caused to increase my interest in finding more facts about this man-made wonder. How and when it should be applied, the right points of application, difference between eau de toilette and eau de parfum, and may more.

Yes I would call it a wonder, a wonder which makes you forget the stress, a wonder which makes you feel good and the wonder which acts as a perfect catalyst in romance. Until I owned one I had no idea about the wonders it could make and used to think why people spend so much money on this scented liquid. But now I know how enchanting it could be and now I’m one of those insanely perfume fascinated people who want more and more in their collection.

I personally like fresh fragrances over fruity or floral. So here goes my recommendations (tried and tested 😉 ):

1. Pure DKNY

2. DKNY – be delicious – so intense

3. GUCCI guilty

4. Burberry Body

5. CH by Carolina Herrera

The aromatic quest for the best fragrances doesn’t end here…..

While I was falling down

God created human beings all with different behaviour, taste, passion and interests. Some like to live peacefully, some wants to do just nothing while some are always hyper and active. We all face troubles or obstacles in our way. That’s our destiny. But when life is smooth and someone is deliberately inviting troubles is seems to be insane. And these days I’m surely being the one. First I jumped off the bridge 215 m high and now from 10000 ft. with almost 250 Km/Hr speed. Who would want to put their lives in trouble and also pay handsome amount for it? Well there are such weird people and now I’m in their club ;).

It’s my second trip to South Africa and now that I’ve seen all major tourist places here my focus is on doing some adventurous stuffs this time. And guess what! I’ve already done one and I’m all the more happy that I could do it in this month. It’s a birthday gift to myself (though in advance). After doing bungy from Bloukrans Bridge I have gained courage to do more. And then I decided to go fo Sky Diving. I was so nervous when I did bungy but this time I was very much relaxed as it was tandem dive. There was a feeling of security as the person diving with you is a professional diver and would take care of everything. But yes, anyone who’s gonna do something like this for the first time might not feel the same.

We were a group of 15 with girls in minority (as usual). Like last time I was wearing my Bugy t-shirt not to show off but to give myself a motivation. My fellow divers were so sure about me after knowing that I’ve done bungy before. So it was kinda cool :).

I was excited about dive but waking up so early (4.30 AM) was equally difficult for me. That was the only part I hated of all. We reached the Witbank Sky Diving Club by 8 AM. I had no issues with going in first few slots but then I wanted to do it with my friends and since one of them opted to go last we had to wait. And later we regratted our decision as we really had to wait for long and by then our excitement dropped down.

So finally after waiting for couple of hours it was our turn. We could see the coordinators names on the board along with ours. The co-ordinator came and handed over the suit to us and started explaining the rules. We were all geared up. The cameraman was shooting every bit.

We reached the runway where a plane was all set to take us UP.

We sat in front of the co-ordinator assigned to each one of us and the plane took off. I was already feeling happy that now I was going to accomplish one of my bucket list item. I wasn’t at all scared as I was while bungy. Looking outside the window I was enjoying the view. My co-ordinator was showing me the reading. On 10000 ft. we were supposed to jump and at 5000 ft the parachute will be opened. We were not at 10000 ft and all set to experience the thrill of being on top of the world from where everything just look so tiny.

Two of my friends jumped before me and now it was my turn. I stepped out of the plane and on count of 1,2, 3 was pushed by my co-ordinator. The cameraman was already hanging outside the plane to take our stills and video.

35 seconds of free fall, I was screaming with joy. We covered 5000 ft distance in mere 35 sec with around 250 KM/HR speed. It was breathtaking.

At the hight of 5000 ft the co-ordinator opened the parachute and we relaxed. Now it was time to just enjoy the view up and down.

The earth was looking just as it looks in google earth :).

It was quite chilling at this hight. The co-ordinator showed me some tricks with the parachute and we started spinning around. That was so fun. I felt as if I got wings and now I can fly anywhere. I wish I could just keep flying but as they say “all good has to end” this too was supposed to come to an end. we started our landing process. Observing the wind direction we started coming down and landed safely.

10000 ft, 35 sec free fall, 250 KM/HR speed and a priceless experience. You could see that on my face and in my wide smile after the successful landing :). Yippppeeeeeee! I did it :).

What Life Says

If there’s a Will, there are thousand Ways!

I learned that physical distances do not really cause distances in any relationship but the lack of will power and wish that cause it.

People say they are too busy to call back home or to their loved ones but no one on this earth is so busy to do that. Even the busiest person takes out time to change his underwear or for that matter to pee (now I’m sounding disgusting but that’s the truth). So he/she can surely take out time to be in touch with their own people.

People keep complaining about many thing like being very busy or not having enough money. But these are not the real problem.

Real problem lies within people.

When people get into a relationship (GF/BF) or get married they suddenly disappear from the social gatherings. There are many reasons to it. And as every coin has two sides this problem too has two sides.

The first one is people themselves feel out of the league for such event after marriage and also they have tendency to spend all the leisure time with their partners rather than spending it with friends/relatives.

The other side is when people get married their friends think that they are busy  and will not come for a party or a day trip. Which most of the time is true but what’s the harm in inviting? You never know they might join you even if it’s for some time.

So everything comes down to one’s will to make it happen.

Until now I too was in the same league but now I have realised and I have decided to do every bit to keep in touch with my old friends, family and make their special days more special by even making international calls or sending bunch of roses.

As it’s rightly said “There’s a will, There’s a way” and I’ll moderate it a little as “if there’s a will, there are thousand ways”

We think that our life is hell complicated but on the other side the world is coming closer with the grace of technology. It’s just matter of having internet connection and you can chat with many friends at the same time. Online shopping and gifting can do at least a little to spread smile on your loved ones faces in your absence. Calling rates have gone down and even international calling is not expensive as before.

We have plenty of options to connect with our people and do the same as we would have done being with them. It’s just a matter of a will power.

Now that reminds me I have to make a call back home :).

While I was in Hibernation…

May be because I’m a software developer dealing with computers everyday or may be I’m just revising my Bio lessons, I had to use this term.

Yes, I was in ‘Hibernation’ for few weeks now. The main reason for my state I had already explained in my previous post but there was one more reason to it or you can say it was a side effect of the first reason. I literally couldn’t think of anything to write about.

But today when I was checking stats of my blog I suddenly realised that even though I’ve been inactive all this while, my blog wasn’t really :).

There had been hits and likes on my posts and sometimes comments as well. Though not like before as there was nothing new for my readers. But still few of my fellow bloggers had been so kind to honor me with some awards even in my inactive stage. It was a beautiful surprise for me.

The thanksgiving was pending for such a long time. I’m really apologizing for that.

Let me start by thanking Chanel Hason for giving me double joy with two awards.

Very Inspiring Blogger Award

and One Lovely Blog Award

Next thanks to Dr. Sherry for giving me Illuminating Blogger Award 🙂

Receiving awards is always Illuminating and Inspiring 😉

Thank to all for liking my blog. Once I’m totally active I will try to illuminate some more blogs soon 🙂

Till then take care and keep blogging 🙂
