Stereo Heart <3

Disclaimer: This isn’t a music review but an attempt to express my love for the music and for this particular song

Stereo Hearts” is a song by American group Gym Class Heroes featuring Adam Levine, lead singer of band Maroon 5. The song was first released on June 14, 2011. as the lead single from the group’s fifth studio album, The Papercut Chronicles II (2011).

This is what you’ll find out on Wikipedia. But for me this song is more than that. Its beats caught my attention when I happen to listen to it for the first time but when I read the lyrics I fell in love with the song.

So whenever I feel low or need something to boost my mood I go with its lyrics and play it loud.

It takes me on an imaginary long drive, I keep driving and the song keeps playing in the background. Well even right now I’m listening to it to let my emotions flow.

There isn’t a single day I haven’t listened to this song and whenever I listen to it I forget bout the world around me. My iShuffle becomes boombox and I become the one Adam probably is singing for ;). I’m so crazy about it that I was thinking of getting Stereo Heart tattoo…may be something like this

May be some day someone special will sing it for me as well :*

My heart’s a stereo
It beats for you, so listen close
Hear my thoughts in every no-o-o-te
Make me your radio

On My Anniversary!!!

Whoa ho ho ho!!! I just can’t believe it’s been a year now. Looks like it’s just been few days. A year ago, on the same day and the same place I entered into a new world, met new people, found new family.  Yessss!!! My blog just completed a year. What were you thinking?? 😉

This one year has been really exciting with 106 posts, 4 pages, 158 followers, 9 awards and unlimited appreciation. And what a coincidence!! Just before I completed a year I received “Bog of the year” award :). With all the love that I received from my fellow bloggers and readers I could reach this point and will continue this beautiful journey.

It takes my mind off

It’s a luxury, it’s an addiction, it has power to attract people, and it makes you feel good , releasing the stress. For me it’s everything and a thing which takes my mind off.

It comes in bottles of different shapes and sizes making it more attractive and tempting. Floral, fresh, mist or fruity. Pick the one which you like but most importantly which your partner like the most (after all perfumes are meant to be for….)

I happened to watch a movie called ‘Perfume – the story of a murderer’. Though it was quite depressing dark movie but it brought out some interesting facts about Perfume and caused to increase my interest in finding more facts about this man-made wonder. How and when it should be applied, the right points of application, difference between eau de toilette and eau de parfum, and may more.

Yes I would call it a wonder, a wonder which makes you forget the stress, a wonder which makes you feel good and the wonder which acts as a perfect catalyst in romance. Until I owned one I had no idea about the wonders it could make and used to think why people spend so much money on this scented liquid. But now I know how enchanting it could be and now I’m one of those insanely perfume fascinated people who want more and more in their collection.

I personally like fresh fragrances over fruity or floral. So here goes my recommendations (tried and tested 😉 ):

1. Pure DKNY

2. DKNY – be delicious – so intense

3. GUCCI guilty

4. Burberry Body

5. CH by Carolina Herrera

The aromatic quest for the best fragrances doesn’t end here…..

Coz I was born this way

“Emotional, stubborn, short-tempered, bi-polar….” I have many adjectives and many good ones too 😉 . The good or the bad, they all are part of me, they make my nature, they make me as an individual and different. Some can adjust with them others cannot. Those who accept me as I am become my friends, forever; those who don’t, well it’s their problem. I’m good with those who are good to me, and others … they don’t really exist for me.

I don’t like to waste my weekends sitting idle at home. I’m fun-loving person who loves to party, go out with friends, explore new places. I love to go shopping, get dressed nicely and can’t stand people with horrible dressing-sense. I may spend handsome amount on a dress and may not wear it for even once if I don’t like it anymore. And like many girls I want something new for every occasion. I’m not so foodie but don’t like to visit the same restaurant every time.

I think too much and act weird sometimes. I can forgive my enemies but cannot forget what they did to me. I cannot pretend to be good if I don’t like someone. And if I like someone I tell them upfront.I love to pamper my friends (and the special friend too 🙂 ) and love to get pampered.  I don’t talk to strangers and want others to approach me. And then you think I have an attitude problem? Well, that’s the way I am. Love selflessly and hate completely.

My dad keeps telling me to change, have control on my anger. May be he’s not completely wrong, but if I change myself then I won’t be myself anymore. I won’t be me and I don’t wanna lose ME. I ain’t a bad girl and even if I do, I was born this way.

While I was falling down

God created human beings all with different behaviour, taste, passion and interests. Some like to live peacefully, some wants to do just nothing while some are always hyper and active. We all face troubles or obstacles in our way. That’s our destiny. But when life is smooth and someone is deliberately inviting troubles is seems to be insane. And these days I’m surely being the one. First I jumped off the bridge 215 m high and now from 10000 ft. with almost 250 Km/Hr speed. Who would want to put their lives in trouble and also pay handsome amount for it? Well there are such weird people and now I’m in their club ;).

It’s my second trip to South Africa and now that I’ve seen all major tourist places here my focus is on doing some adventurous stuffs this time. And guess what! I’ve already done one and I’m all the more happy that I could do it in this month. It’s a birthday gift to myself (though in advance). After doing bungy from Bloukrans Bridge I have gained courage to do more. And then I decided to go fo Sky Diving. I was so nervous when I did bungy but this time I was very much relaxed as it was tandem dive. There was a feeling of security as the person diving with you is a professional diver and would take care of everything. But yes, anyone who’s gonna do something like this for the first time might not feel the same.

We were a group of 15 with girls in minority (as usual). Like last time I was wearing my Bugy t-shirt not to show off but to give myself a motivation. My fellow divers were so sure about me after knowing that I’ve done bungy before. So it was kinda cool :).

I was excited about dive but waking up so early (4.30 AM) was equally difficult for me. That was the only part I hated of all. We reached the Witbank Sky Diving Club by 8 AM. I had no issues with going in first few slots but then I wanted to do it with my friends and since one of them opted to go last we had to wait. And later we regratted our decision as we really had to wait for long and by then our excitement dropped down.

So finally after waiting for couple of hours it was our turn. We could see the coordinators names on the board along with ours. The co-ordinator came and handed over the suit to us and started explaining the rules. We were all geared up. The cameraman was shooting every bit.

We reached the runway where a plane was all set to take us UP.

We sat in front of the co-ordinator assigned to each one of us and the plane took off. I was already feeling happy that now I was going to accomplish one of my bucket list item. I wasn’t at all scared as I was while bungy. Looking outside the window I was enjoying the view. My co-ordinator was showing me the reading. On 10000 ft. we were supposed to jump and at 5000 ft the parachute will be opened. We were not at 10000 ft and all set to experience the thrill of being on top of the world from where everything just look so tiny.

Two of my friends jumped before me and now it was my turn. I stepped out of the plane and on count of 1,2, 3 was pushed by my co-ordinator. The cameraman was already hanging outside the plane to take our stills and video.

35 seconds of free fall, I was screaming with joy. We covered 5000 ft distance in mere 35 sec with around 250 KM/HR speed. It was breathtaking.

At the hight of 5000 ft the co-ordinator opened the parachute and we relaxed. Now it was time to just enjoy the view up and down.

The earth was looking just as it looks in google earth :).

It was quite chilling at this hight. The co-ordinator showed me some tricks with the parachute and we started spinning around. That was so fun. I felt as if I got wings and now I can fly anywhere. I wish I could just keep flying but as they say “all good has to end” this too was supposed to come to an end. we started our landing process. Observing the wind direction we started coming down and landed safely.

10000 ft, 35 sec free fall, 250 KM/HR speed and a priceless experience. You could see that on my face and in my wide smile after the successful landing :). Yippppeeeeeee! I did it :).

Sip of coffee and ….

Lately my intake of caffeine has increased and with that my visits to different cafés. For me or for that matter for anybody else, cafés are not only the place to have different kinds of coffees and snacks but it’s more than that. I like spending time with my friends (though I won’t mind dropping there alone) at coffee shops enjoying my favourite cappuccino and the lovely surrounding for hours together. The comfortness in ambience is perfect for all those gossips and news.

Look and feel of these cafés is as refreshing as the coffees and teas they serve, doesn’t matter which season it is. It always looks welcoming and the very aroma of coffee awakens your nervous system.

For me the experience at cafés is always more than just a sip of coffee…

That’s why we love Shopping!

Who doesn’t love shopping? Well this question is not only for girls, ladies and women ;); we all are very much aware how girls are mad about it but guys (at least the ones I know) run away from shopping, even if it’s their own. But after reading this post they might change their minds :).

Shopping….it’s time consuming and wastage of money..that’s what you guys think right? So here I’m going to list down some very interesting points…the benefits which shopping brings along with it.

1. Distressing: Shopping acts as distressing activity for us. I’m saying this from personal experience :). If we are feeling low, our day has been dull; shopping can brighten up our day with all those colorful apparels, shoes and accessories. So you don’t have to take us to meditation center or even have to face those unnecessary fights.

2. Simple and pleasurable exercise: It is well-known that almost 90% girls take a couple of hours to buy one thing. No matter where we are shopping, in mall or on a street; to buy that particular dress we would be walking miles and miles and walking is one of the best exercises; it’s pleasurable as well when it’s accompanied by shopping;). so it saves time and money that we might spend in gym :).

3. Motivating: First two points are quite obvious. But how shopping can be motivating? Not able to guess?.. Well when we are out for shopping we all have certain limits on how much you can spend ( if you think we always shop over the limit), even if we (or our partners) are millionaire. Many a times we face a situation where we like a beautiful dress or jewellery but looking at the price we just can’t buy. This gives us motivation to earn more and more so that next time we are out for shopping we won’t have to compromise or be upset ;). We don’t always like to spend your money.

4. Time with friends: Shopping gives us an opportunity to spend some quality time with our loved ones including you :). And a cup of coffee after that is just like icing on the cake. We can catch up with all the latest news and gossips which we are not able to do as we are busy with office and carrying out other responsibilities. (Even you can get freedom till the time we are shopping, won’t you love it?).

5. Monitoring tool: Haha…the point is quite funny but it’s true. My dear ladies, how many times while trying cloths you feel that you have gained some weight or you not fitting into the regular size? Quite often? well that’s how shopping let’s us know the changes in our body shape ;). And again it motivates us to exercise and regain the shape and weight we (and also you) always wanted to be in :).

6. Awareness: How are we supposed to know about the latest trends and styles until and unless we go shopping? And you too will love to see us in those pretty dresses and accessories right?

Sop guys, shopping isn’t spending money and wasting time, it’s a wholesome experience. And how will you measure that lovely smile on your GF, wife or sister’s face when you allow her to shop the way she wants?

Human Vulture

I’m not a photographer, photography isn’t even my passion, it’s just that I like taking pictures. The intention varies, sometimes it is just to treasure those beautiful moments, sometimes it is just to test the creative side of mine. But ever since I started clicking pictures I had promised one thing to myself, I’ll never portray the helpless people, the poor child and crying hearts. I feel it’s very inhuman. Someone is hungry and we are trying  to earn bread and butter by selling its pictures. Such a shameful act! Moreover I really doubt how many photographers must be offering some money or food to those poor hands whom they are clicking?

Long time back one such picture was being circulated through mails. I saw it and it really made me cry.

The caption also mentioned that the photographer committed suicide after three months of clicking that picture. The scenario was so dreadful. I cried for the child in the picture but not for the person who clicked it and committed suicide out of depression. Why should I and why should anybody else? Reading the caption only one thing came in my mind. When that person knew that the child is hungry and he/she will die soon with no food then why didn’t he feed him or why didn’t he help him to reach the food camp? What did he achieve by clicking the picture? Few applauds, some sympathy or handsome money? How impossible or difficult was it? He could have not only saved the child but saved his own life too. Depression caused by his own act or may be lack of action.

Who’s the real vulture here? The one waiting for the child to die or the one who is happy or proud that he got some real good shot? Seriously, are we being so materialistic and inhuman?
